"Regional cough, cold & allergy sales advanced by 7.6% during MAT Q1 2026, with Brazil and Mexico both registering strong flu seasons. Probiotics gained relevance in respiratory care following ANVISA’s April 2026 approval of the first strain with the permitted claim, “may reduce risk of upper respiratory infections” (streptococcus salivarius K12), while in Mexico, Sanfer launched Lucebiot with positioning for complementary use in managing allergic conditions. Also in probiotics, Opella has strengthened production of Enterogermina in Mexico and is seeking to position the brand for GLP-1 users (see News Review p29). "
