"Despite increased scrutiny globally regarding potential overuse, and rising interest in other ingredients such as magnesium, melatonin continued to figure heavily in sleep aids NPD in several markets. In addition, in Germany BfArM’s Expert Advisory Committee for Prescription-Only Issues has recommended that melatonin 3mg (for jetlag in adults) be available OTC, while marketing authorisation has been granted for further high-strength melatonin brands in Poland. In smoking control, governments across the region have clamped down on sales of disposable vapes and several plan to restrict sales of nicotine pouches amid fears of increased use by young people."
